Last updated: 22 May 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using UDA Pulse ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

UDA Pulse is developed and operated by Dr. Kartik Datla ("we", "us", "our").

2. Description of Service

UDA Pulse is a personal productivity tool designed for dental professionals in the United Kingdom. It allows users to track Units of Dental Activity (UDAs), private income, CPD hours, lab bills, and open courses of treatment.

UDA Pulse is NOT a medical device. It is not intended to provide clinical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations. It is solely a record-keeping and productivity tool.

3. User Accounts & Eligibility

UDA Pulse does not require account registration. The App is designed for use by qualified dental professionals and dental students in the UK. By using the App, you confirm that you are at least 16 years of age.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

In-App Purchases

Premium features are available via a monthly subscription at £4.99/month (or local equivalent), purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

  • Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
  • Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time through your device's App Store or Play Store subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain access to premium features until then.
  • Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google in accordance with their respective refund policies. We do not process refunds directly.
  • Price Changes: We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. Any price changes will apply to the next renewal period after notice is given via the App Store or Play Store.

Voucher Codes

We may issue promotional voucher codes that grant temporary or lifetime access to premium features. Voucher codes are:

  • Single-use — each code can only be redeemed once per device
  • Non-transferable between devices
  • Non-refundable and have no cash value
  • Subject to expiry dates where applicable (trial codes)
  • Issued at our sole discretion and may be revoked if misused

6. Your Data & Responsibilities

All data you enter into UDA Pulse is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to, nor do we back up, your data. You are solely responsible for:

  • The accuracy of data you enter into the App
  • Maintaining backups of your device (via iCloud, Google backup, etc.)
  • Ensuring that no patient-identifiable data is entered into the App
  • Complying with your professional and regulatory obligations (GDC, NHS England, etc.)

If you delete the App or reset your device without a backup, your data will be permanently lost. We cannot recover it.

7. Intellectual Property

UDA Pulse, including its design, code, branding, and content, is the intellectual property of Dr. Kartik Datla. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from the App without prior written permission.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

UDA Pulse is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that:

  • The App will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • The App will meet your specific requirements
  • Calculations or data within the App are accurate in all circumstances
  • The App is suitable for any regulatory or compliance reporting

You should always verify important figures independently. UDA Pulse is a personal productivity aid, not an official NHS reporting system.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of data
  • Loss of income or profits
  • Inaccurate calculations or reports
  • Failure to meet regulatory requirements

Our total liability for any claim arising from use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using UDA Pulse at any time by deleting the App from your device. We reserve the right to discontinue the App or any features at any time, with reasonable notice where practicable.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
